It’s Been a While

Wow, it has been a while since I’ve written a blog. School and the daily activities surrounding have become my existence with no real deviation in schedule and thus nothing significant to blog about.

Howeverrrr, that does not mean that nothing has been going on. Since the beginning of the year I’ve received multiple wedding inquiries among other requests for photography work. I’m excited to get back into the swing of things. What does that mean? Well, I have plans to buy more photography equipment — like $3k worth in the next few months.

I picked up my camera for the first time in 12 days! Krystle and Danielle came over to kidnap my sister and Danielle asked if I could take a few shots of them before they left. Why not?.. I haven’t used my camera in a long time. Here are some pics:

By the way, the weather was BEAUTIFUL today. Kayleen and I decided to make the most of it and head to the park to enjoy the sun and fresh air. Of course my camera came along too. Pics:

The rest of today I plan on doing homework and studying. I have two tests coming up next week then PARTY AT THE PEARL! yes. Can’t wait. Until then -> work mode -__-

More pics: POTW (picture of the week)

Dr. Wu handed our tests back in “Modeling and Analysis of Dynamic Systems” today or Systems for short. I’ve heard many stories of Dr. Wu’s infamous tests and even though I felt good coming out of the test, didn’t have high expectations coming out of it.

Turns out the class average was 42, sounds bad? It’s about the norm in engineering. I got a 69 (hehe) on my test! So, 69 = A after curve. AWESOME! made my whole week. I don’t even have the book for the class. Of course there was complaining and there continues to be — the class voted on seven tests throughout the semester (WTF 7 srsly?). Doing the math thats a test every 3 lectures. Oh well. Lets see how long I can last without the book..

LOVE [music] Stimulation

Since my laptop screen broke, I haven’t been keeping up with my podcasts like I usually do. But, here are a few tracks that caught my ear.

progressive/vocal trance:

Existone featuring Hayley Parsons – August Aromas

OOOLLLLD SCHOOOLLL. So I’m not sure what sparked my interest but I’ve been listening to lots of the old 90’s dance songs that made it to radio. WOW, such memories. Here’s an oldschool song that just about EVERYONE knows — come to think of it, I remember how this all started. My dad was telling a random story about flying and clouds and he said something that just made me turn my head — “Castle in the sky” and I’m like, what’s that? Apparently its a term for the (I don’t know the real term) for the clouds that tower above the clouds that look like a blanket. So here’s the song, remixed to date. Oh let the memory flood gates open:

Ian Van Dahl – Castles in the sky (Wippenberg remix)

dub-house? At first I only liked The Island Part 1, but after hearing part 2 in a set, oh man, great song. I’d love to hear this live at Ultra.

Pendulum – The Island Part 2
