Eureca and Erza Battle’s Wedding Day

I finally made a trip home after about three weeks of being away. ‘Twas nice being back home for the weekend but I was only there to shoot Ervin’s sister, Eureca’s, wedding. I’ve known Ervin and his family for 20 years! We moved in the same neighborhood at the same time when our houses were new. Also, Ervin helped me get an internship at Sun Hydraulics, which is pretty win.

I got back to Jacksonville late afternoon on Friday and had dinner with Ashley and the family. It was as if I had never left.

Eureca’s wedding festivities started late afternoon, but I went early to shoot the bride’s maids and the groom’s men, and also Eureca getting ready.

The wedding was on the roof of a hotel facing the river. It was a wonderful setting with the Jacksonville skyline in the background.

I love the intimacy of this photo and the way some of the guests frame the bride and her father. Both her and the groom were brought to tears by happiness. To be honest, I loved shooting this wedding and they made me feel like part of the family while I was there.
